We are seeking an experienced Fintech Business Analyst who will be responsible for analyzing financial data, collaborating with technology teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, defining business processes, leading financial technology solution implementation to meet requirements, and communicating findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
What You’ll do:
- Conduct a comprehensive business analysis to identify and document business requirements for financial services applications, systems, and processes
- Work closely with stakeholders, including business users, subject matter experts, and technology teams, to understand their needs and translate them into functional requirements
- Develop detailed user stories, use cases, and functional specifications for financial services applications, systems, and processes
- Collaborate closely with technology teams to design and develop solutions that meet business requirements and align with the overall technology strategy
- Provide guidance and support to business users during user acceptance testing (UAT) and production rollout phases
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices for financial services applications, systems, and processes
- Participate actively in project planning and management activities, including estimating effort, defining scope, and monitoring progress
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executives, business leaders, and technology teams, to ensure that all parties are well-informed and aligned throughout the project lifecycle
Job requirements
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in business analysis, preferably in the financial services industry
- Strong understanding of financial services applications, systems, and processes, including fundamental financial reporting processes, risk management, and regulatory reporting
- Familiarity with technology concepts, applications, and tools, such as Oracle ERP, Jedox, and basic SQL
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Scrum, and Jira
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and solve complex business problems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results
- Understanding of financial markets and products, including equities, fixed income, and derivatives, is a plus
